Last night i went to Mom and Dad's to finally turn on my Nook. I downloaded two games and a book. Then i went home and tried to figure it out. I'm a little bummed! I could not play Scrabble because you have to have a Wi-Fi connection to play that game and once the kids saw Angry Birds, i couldn't get it back. I tried to read on it for a little while before Dylan got mad that I was not paying attention to him. I was trying to figure out how to arrange stuff and i couldn't get it to do the things i wanted it to do. I will have to finish reading the rest of the manual this week. I guess I'm going to have to figure out what I'm going to do with our crappy internet situation so that i can get Wi-Fi at home. Dylan LOVED the kid story that came on it for free! He likes how it will read the story to you. We listened to it twice before bed last night.
Last night we had a fire, but since i got home later than usual and had to do all the regular nightly stuff, i didn't get to enjoy it at all. But the time i got to sit in front of it Terry had let it die so that we could go to bed.
Oh, one exciting thing did happen yesterday - when Tyler got home, he told me that his class came in second in the whole school for the Box Top contest. They are one of three classrooms that get to have an ice cream party soon! I was really excited for him. We had been totally sand-bagging waiting for a big contest to come up. Terry alone brought in 356 box tops:)
Also, the new bus driver asked Terry if Tyler could stay on the bus longer tomorrow after school since he knows the route really well and can help him out to stop in all the right places - we were proud of him! That's a big change of the kid that always has his head in the clouds. Maybe we are getting through to him after all. Now we just have to get him to tie his own shoes!!!!!!!!!
