Week 5: Jan. 28th - Feb. 3

Hhmmmm...Let me start off this week with a little play:

Setting:  Scouts - Pack Field Trip Monday night.  I'm standing in line with Dylan, Tyler and his friend, Jake, waiting from their turn in the Board Patrol car. Half way through the field trip after the two of them had been sitting together all night and messing around like guys do.

Me:  "Jake, where is your mom and Benny tonight?"
Jake:  "Home.  My brother has a 103.5 fever!!"
Me:  "Get away from each other and don't touch Dylan!!!!!!!"

Fast forward to Tuesday night - Guess who has a 103 degree fever!?!?  Tyler (you thought i was going to say Dylan - right).  He missed 3 days of school and basketball on Saturday :(

The only other thing that was super exciting was I think it was Tuesday and it was 66 degrees in Erie, PA and the very next day it was 25 degrees and snowing - like white out snowing.  It has not stopped since.

Dylan is still cracking me up with things about getting married and kissing and girlfriends.  I wish i could tape him but I'm afraid he wouldn't talk about it if i did.  It is so funny that the 9 year old hates girls and the 4 year old is all about it ;o)

This weekend Mom and Dad came over and helped me get the basement all back together and Zeus moved to a better spot.  Hopefully this week I can get downstairs and straighten up my craft desk and get back to work.  We rearranged my area a little and found an awesome space for the drawers my man got me for x-mas and I'm super excited to use that as my Project Life area.  I really want to make some Valentines for the boys this year.  I also wait to try and scale back on Valentines Day this year!!  Cards and something small.

PS - the Board Patrol Field Trip was great!!!  Dylan liked it more than Tyler.  Dylan was super inspired by it and played Board Patrol guy for the next three days straight.  The speaker passed around two of his bullet resistant vests (they don't like the term bullet proof) and their night vision goggles (which were super awesome) for the kids to try out.  Well, Dylan was a little lot upset that we could not go to the gift shop and get him a vest before we left.  OMG - did i laugh!!  He was not happy to say the least!  They did get these really awesome notebooks (they were so cool the parents were bummed that there weren't enough for us) and these football/baseball card type card (i know that sounds ridiculous but you get me right?) about the K-9 officer that we meet named Cara.  She did a demo for us.  So he was happy with that and forgot about the vest.  When we got home he used the adventure guy vest he got for Christmas!  I'm telling you, he has a get imagination!!
